Upgrade ArcGIS GIS Server deployment through CloudFormation stack Update

Upgrade ArcGIS GIS Server deployment from 10.6.1 or 10.7 to 10.7.1

  • On Windows:
    1. Obtain an ArcGIS Server 10.7 authorization file if you are upgrading from 10.6.1, and place it in the same deployment bucket where you stored 10.6.1 authorization files for your 10.6.1 deployment.
    2. Download arcgis-server-update-policy.json file.
    3. In CloudFormation Service page in the AWS console, select the CloudFormation stack you want to upgrade, click on "Update Stack".
    4. Specify a template to replace the current template. The new template URL is https://s3.amazonaws.com/arcgisstore1071/11595/templates/arcgis-upgrade-server-windows.template.
    5. In the parameters update page, only update the ServerLicenseFile if upgrading from 10.6.1 to point to the 10.7 authorization file.
    6. For stack policy, upload the arcgis-server-update-policy.json file you just downloaded. This stack policy can define the resources that you want to protect from unintentional updates during a stack update.
    7. Click on Update stack and it will bring your deployment stack to 10.7.1.
  • On Ubuntu:
    1. Obtain an ArcGIS Server 10.7 authorization file if you are upgrading from 10.6.1, and place it in the same deployment bucket where you stored 10.6.1 authorization files for your 10.6.1 deployment.
    2. Download arcgis-server-update-policy.json file.
    3. In CloudFormation Service page in the AWS console, select the CloudFormation stack you want to upgrade, click on "Update Stack".
    4. Specify a template to replace the current template. The new template URL is https://s3.amazonaws.com/arcgisstore1071/11595/templates/arcgis-upgrade-server-ubuntu.template.
